IO-Link is the first IO technology to be recognized as an international standard for interacting with sensors and actuators. IO-Link is a fieldbus-independent communication protocol that allows field devices such as sensors and actuators to be connected to the controller via a point-to-point connection using an unshielded industrial cable.
